'This Girl Can' November 16th 2024 (female only event)

On Saturday the 16th of November, from 2pm to 3pm, we are running a This Girl Can session.

This session is about giving females the opportunity to try archery in a female exclusive environment. There will be qualified female instructors as well as female members of the club on hand to teach the basics of archery.

While we do not usually run sessions that are female only, hopefully this will be a chance for people to try archery and potentially get the confidence to join us for other sessions in mixed groups.

The session will be for 1 hour on the Saturday afternoon [weather permitting] on our outdoor target range. The cost of the session includes equipment hire, instruction by qualified Archery Australia Coaches and Instructors and liability insurance.

Booking and other important information:

• If you need to amend the session booking, you are able to do this ​​​​​with at least 48 hours notice
• QR code scan-in on site is non-negotiable so please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time to allow for this as well as equipment handout and safety demonstration.
• Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn, fitted clothing is best and no open toed shoes are permitted for reasons regarding participant safety. Long hair must also be tied back.
• Diamond Valley Archers retain the right to refuse any participants if it is felt they pose a risk to the health and safety of others. If you are refused participation on the day, no refund or credit will be applicable
• Participants under 18 years of age MUST have a parent or guardian 18 years or older with them for the entire duration they are at Diamond Valley Archers
• Minimum child age for participation is 8 years - if your child is under 8 years of age, please contact us before you register them
• Tickets are non-refundable, if you do not turn up on the day, there is no refund and the tickets are not transferable to another session. 
• If the session is cancelled by DVA due to weather or other reasons, a full refund will apply
